A Beautiful Smile in Just Two Appointments

The Benefits of Veneers

Brighter & More Balanced Teeth

Because they can cover stains, chips, and unevenly shaped teeth all at once, veneers are one of the most versatile treatments in cosmetic dentistry. These thin porcelain shells attach to the front surface of the tooth to conceal almost any dental imperfection and create a brighter, more symmetrical smile.

Customized to Your Features

Whether you want to correct a single tooth or completely enhance your smile, we will work carefully to ensure that your veneer complements your smile and your facial features. Every tiny detail, including shape, color, and translucency, will be tailored to your unique needs.

Quick Results

If you want to enhance your smile before an important event like a wedding or graduation, porcelain veneers may be perfect for you. At Dental Works, we can design and place dental veneers in just two appointments. While the treatment timeline is short, the results are long-lasting. In many cases, veneers can last up to a decade before needing replacement.

Improved Self-Confidence

Your smile is one of the first things that people notice when they meet you. Having beautiful teeth can improve your confidence and make you feel better about smiling in pictures, speaking in public, and laughing out loud.

We Recommend Veneers to Patients With:

Chips and Cracks

Cover minor cracks and chips on your teeth that can detract from your smile.

Discoloration

Conceal deep-rooted tooth discoloration that doesn't respond to whitening treatments.

Minor Misalignment

Make your upper and lower dental arches appear straighter and more symmetrical.

Size

Augment teeth that are too small and contour teeth that are too large in size.

Shape

Transform disproportionately shaped teeth that might appear peg-shaped or pointed.

Qualifying for Porcelain Veneers

Am I a good candidate for porcelain veneers?

Veneers work for most patients at our Scottsdale, AZ, practice. In order to identify good candidates, we look at a few basic factors...

Sufficient Tooth Enamel

Since the cosmetic dentist must remove a small layer of enamel to make room for the thin shells, patients need to have sufficient dental enamel.

Good Oral Health

It is important to have good oral health before undergoing cosmetic procedures. Patients should be free of periodontal disease and not suffer from bruxism (teeth grinding), which can interfere with the long-term success of your veneers.

Correctable Cosmetic Issue

Veneers can mask most aesthetic flaws, but they are best suited for minor to moderate corrections. If you have severe misalignment or significant structural damage, orthodontics or dental crowns may be a better option.

How Much Do Veneers Cost?

At Dental Works, porcelain veneers cost anywhere from $850 to $1,500 per tooth. The price will depend on several factors, like the quality of materials used and whether preliminary treatments are needed. However, all of our patients consider them a worthwhile investment due to their incredibly natural-looking results and longevity.

While porcelain veneers and cosmetic dentistry treatments are not typically covered by insurance, Dental Works provides options to make treatment more affordable for patients from Scottsdale and the greater Phoenix area. We gladly accept CareCredit® and Sunbit financing. With these third-party financing options, patients can divide their costs into manageable monthly payments and more easily budget for treatment. Feel free to reach out to a member of our friendly staff with questions about financing and schedule an appointment to get an estimate for your treatment today.

Conceal Dental Imperfections with Veneers

We provide custom porcelain veneers for cosmetic issues such as staining that does not respond to professional teeth whitening. Veneers can also conceal misalignment, chips, cracks, and more. With the proper care, veneers from Dental Works can last 10 to 15 years.

What should I expect when getting dental veneers?

The Procedure Timeline

Porcelain veneer treatment can usually be completed in two appointments at our Scottsdale, AZ, practice. Here is what happens during these appointments...

1. Consultation

You will meet with the cosmetic dentist to discuss your concerns and treatment options. If dental veneers are right for you, we will show you how beautiful, tooth-colored porcelain can transform your smile.

2. Tooth Prep

We prepare the tooth (or teeth) by removing a small layer of surface enamel to accommodate the thin shells.

3. Impressions

Our high-tech laser scanner takes digital images of your teeth so we can design your custom restorations. The software provides more accurate views of the mouth and is more comfortable than traditional dental impressions.

4. Temporary Veneers

Our team goes the extra mile to provide patients with custom temporary veneers. These temporaries help protect your teeth while you wait for your permanent veneers; they also help you visualize your final results. Our patients can take a more active role in their final design by suggesting any modifications or enhancements.

5. Crafting Veneers

Our trusted dental lab assists in the creation of your veneers. We have collaborated with these skilled technicians for the past 15 years and we trust them to deliver high-quality, natural-looking restorations. Within a week or two, they will return the finished porcelain veneers to our Scottsdale office for placement.

6. Attaching Veneers

We check the look and fit of the veneer against the surface of the tooth and make any necessary modifications. Once it is perfect, we attach the shell to the enamel with a special dental cement for a secure bond.

Protecting Your Porcelain Veneers

We want you to enjoy your new porcelain veneers for as long as possible, so we will provide detailed instructions on how to best care for your smile. Caring for your veneers is as simple and intuitive as caring for your natural teeth. In order to keep your veneers strong and bright, we recommend a few things...

Maintain Good Oral Hygiene

Brush your teeth twice daily to remove plaque, food particles, and bacteria. Use a soft toothbrush head and a non-abrasive toothpaste. Carefully floss at least once a day, being very gentle around the dental veneer. Remember to visit the dentist two times per year to have your teeth professionally examined and cleaned.

Avoid Stains

Refrain from eating or drinking darkly colored foods and liquids that can stain the teeth. While porcelain is stain-resistant, your natural teeth are not, meaning color inconsistencies can develop over time. Ask about our whitening treatments if you have concerns about your porcelain veneers matching the shade of your enamel.

Apply Minimal Pressure

Dental veneers are made of medical-grade porcelain designed to look great for several years. Nonetheless, avoid placing excess force on your veneers and surrounding teeth. Refrain from biting your nails, opening packages with your teeth, and eating exceptionally hard foods to prevent dislodging or cracking the veneer.

The Dental Works Difference

Accommodations

In addition to offering sedation dentistry, our staff is experienced in working with patients with dental anxiety and special needs. From over the phone to the second you step into our office, we can accommodate your needs for a more comfortable and pleasant dental experience.

Local Lab

Our practice has a 15-year relationship with a trusted local lab that maintains our standards for high-quality and highly aesthetic dental veneers. Our patients experience the benefits of this long-term collaboration for themselves when they see the quality and personalization that goes into their veneers.

Patient Input

Due to our long relationship with the lab, we can have a greater say in the crafting process. When you receive temporary veneers, we’ll ask for your feedback and customize your permanent veneers to fit your needs and preferences.

For the Ultimate Smile Consider These Related Treatments

Gingival Contouring

Veneers can fix your teeth for a brighter, more uniform smile, but they do not fix a gumline that is uneven or makes your teeth appear small. The dentists at Dental Works can bring out the best in your smile by expertly contouring your gums for greater symmetry and balance.

Teeth Whitening

While we can match the hue of porcelain to the color of your natural teeth, many patients want an overall brighter smile to make the most out of their veneers. With teeth whitening, we can eliminate stains and discoloration to create a dazzling new smile with your veneers.
